Frank Bakker - Chief executive officer
Frank Bakker joined US Methanol as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Bakker has 28 years of experience in the chemical industry. Prior to joining US Methanol, Mr. Bakker was President, CEO and Director of OCI Partners LP, where he spent 6 years building the company and overseeing the successful restoration of a mothballed methanol and ammonia plant in Beaumont, Texas.
Prior to OCI, Mr. Bakker worked at DSM for 22 years where he served in variety of operational and managerial roles including Manufacturing Director and Site Manager for a thermoplastic elastomer plant in Massachusetts and Site Manager DSM Neoresins.
He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a M.S. in mechanical engineering from Twente University.
Prasad Devineni - Chief projects officer
Prasad joined US Methanol in March 2017. Mr. Devineni has 27 years of senior project and commercial experience in petrochemical industries. Prior to USM, Mr. Devineni was Managing Director of New Haven Chemicals and was responsible for project development of a sodium methylate catalyst plant that was manufactured in India and assembled in Iowa.
Prior to New Haven, Mr. Devineni worked at Desatec and Kline and Company.
He holds a PhD in Chemicals and Fuels Engineering from the University of Utah, an MBA from St. Joseph’s Business School Bangalore, India, a Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India and a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India.
J. Michael Hager - Chief Financial Officer
Michael joined US Methanol LLC in October 2017. Mr. Hager has over 15 years of experience in the fields of accounting and finance. Prior to USM, Mr. Hager served as CFO of Graf Brothers Flooring, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of rift and quartered hardwood flooring.
Prior to Graf Brothers Flooring, Inc., Mr. Hager served in a variety of financial leadership positions at State Electric Supply Company. Mr. Hager is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in West Virginia, as well as a Certified Fraud Examiner. He holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from Marshall University.
Roberto Bueno - Plant Manager
Roberto has over 34 years of experience in managing the operations of multiple petrochemical projects.
Prior to joining USM Mr. Bueno served as the engineering director of OTZ Engenharia where he oversaw various energy projects in Brazil. Prior to OTZ Mr. Bueno served as the Industrial Manager of GPC Quimica where he oversaw the operations and upgrade projects related to the Liberty One plant.
He holds an Executive MBA, University of California, Irvine and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
